Glove Up Greenwich, a charity boxing event set for Sept 30, held a press conference on Friday at the Greenwich YMCA featuring a fighter face off.
Fighters had the opportunity to introduce themselves and then face off against their opponent for the upcoming fight.
Friends, family, and fans of the Glove Up Greenwich fighters came out to support and cheer them on.
The full Glove Up Greenwich’s fighter lineup includes 18 fighters in 9 bouts, including male and female fights.
Some of the fights include Stamford Police Dept officer, Pablo Alanias, vs Darien Police Dept officer, Costas Bouzakis, and Greenwich Board of Education chair Joe Kelly vs trial lawyer for Paul Hastings, Josh Berman.

Members of the Glove Up Greenwich team, including co-founders Kastriot Xhema and Michael Vranos, spoke about the event’s mission and its charity partners.
They also announced the list of local food and drink vendors who will be at the event. Food vendors include Ei Shu Maru, Arcuri’s, Wendy’s Weenies, Island Fin Poke, El Chilito, and Coffee Luca.
Beverages will be exclusively provided by Val’s Putnam Wines & Liquors.
The event also featured a ticket giveaway and two winners were selected to each receive two tickets to the event.

Glove Up Greenwich is a charity boxing event to be held on Sept. 30, 2023 at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich. The event is supporting The Rowan Center, Greenwich United Way, Greenwich Emergency Medical Services, Byram Volunteer Fire Department, and Glenville Volunteer Fire Company. The event will include nine sanctioned boxing matches, food and drink vendors, and participation from local partners. The mission of Glove Up Greenwich is to share the positive impact of boxing with the community and support local organizations that share the same goal of promoting mental health, safety, and wellness.
