GEMS Explorer Post Fundraiser a Success at Joey B’s in Cos Cob

The Greenwich EMS Explorer Post 911 high school group was hard at work Tuesday evening waiting on customers at Joey B’s in Cos Cob. Alongside Dominick Delfino, owner of Joey B’s, the kids and advisors had a great time spreading awareness of what the Explorer Post is, recruiting members, and raising money.

According to Eirinn Rickard, it was an extremely successful night on many levels and special. The group thanked Mr. Delfino, who is a very active member of the community and enjoys doing these types of events. Mr. Delfino donated 20% of the night’s bills and all tips to the club.

*The Explorer Post program is made up of high school students’ ages 14-18 that focuses on community education, leadership development, and certification as emergency medical responders or emergency medical technicians so they can volunteer on the ambulances.
