River House celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday with a Green Eggs and Ham themed Brunch on March 2.

The rain it was raining
But no one complained
By the tens, By the droves
To River House they came
There were pancakes and yummies
For grandpas and grams
And for all the children-
There were green eggs and ham!
And perched in the window
An unusual hat
For under this hat
Sat a black and white cat!
The children gathered ’round
The white and red hat
For the hat it was worn
By such a fun cat!
From the floor to the door
There were smiles galore
As the cat read a book
We’ve all heard of before!
“This book is my favorite!”
Declared the cat with joy.
And cheers rang up
from each girl and each boy!
The claps rang out loud
And laughs shook the room
As the cat read the book
in her silly costume!
Up next came the games
Like “Follow The Cat”
Green bagels and games?
What’s better than that?!
As they left the breakfast
The mommys and dads
Smiled at all of the fun
That was had
As the guests were leaving
The cat loudly espoused,
“Thank You For Coming
To Our River House!”
