Legendary Band Earth, Wind & Fire Headlines The Palace Theatre’s 9th Annual Gala

On Wednesday, May 30, The Palace Theatre in Stamford welcomes Earth, Wind & Fire, one of the top-selling musical groups of all time, for the nonprofit’s 9th Annual Gala.

The event is The Palace’s largest annual fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the organization’s arts education programs.

With a signature sound beyond category and a groove as deep as the soul of the planet, Earth, Wind & Fire’s legendary journey has set the standard for music of all genres and made a profound and lasting impact on pop culture. Born in Chicago in 1969, Earth, Wind & Fire has released 23 albums. They have recorded eight #1 R&B singles and eight Double Platinum Top 10 Pop Albums.

Earth, Wind & Fire has earned more than 50 Gold and Platinum albums and sold over 100 million albums worldwide, earning them a solid spot as one of best selling music artists of all time.

“Earth, Wind & Fire’s career achievements have had a huge impact on the history of music and we are very fortunate to welcome them to The Palace,” said Michael Moran, Executive Director of The Palace. “We are proud to present premier entertainment so close to home and encourage anyone interested to purchase tickets early. Our Gala performance sells out each year.”

Earth, Wind & Fire was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and has earned Lifetime Achievement honors from ASCAP, NAACP, and the BET Awards.

The band also received nine Grammy Awards including The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences’ highest honor, the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, in 2016.
