Greenwich Symphony Orchestra Director Stuart Malina Debuts with Concerts This Weekend

The Greenwich Symphony Orchestra recently announced they named Stuart Malina as their new musical director, following a search that began in 2020. The search was something of a competition, with each finalist taking a turn at the podium to conduct a concert.

Maestro Malina was chosen from 176 candidates who applied for the position.

A panel of musicians and board members selected Malina, who is a Tony Award winner and director and conductor of the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra in Pennsylvania.

In September Stuart Malina will lead the 78 member orchestra for the first time in his new role as the Music Director of Greenwich Symphony.

This week the GSO announced upcoming September concerts to be performed at the Performing Arts Center at Greenwich High School on Saturday, Sept 10 at 7:30pm and Sunday, Sept 11 at 3:00pm.

Individual tickets are adults $40 and Students $10. A Five concert subscription series is $175.
