Greenwich Symphony Announces Concerts Jan 28-29 in the GHS Performing Arts Center

Greenwich Symphony Orchestra will present concerts Saturday, January 28 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, January 29 at 3:00pm.

Newly chosen and already very popular Music Director, Stuart Malina, will conduct music by Tchaichovsky, Esmail and Sibelius. Tchaikovsky and Sibelius are very recognizable names, but not Esmail. Reena Esmail, a young woman with degrees in composition from Juillard and Yale, creates music that is cross cultural and contemporary. Black Iris by Esmail, originally titled (#metoo) is on the program.

The concerts are performed by a 78-person professional orchestra whose members welcome the chance to play classical music in the extraordinary auditorium at the Performing Arts Center at Greenwich High School.

Wiliam Hagen

All Greenwich Symphony concerts feature well known soloists. Award winning violinist William Hagen will play Tchaikovsky’s Concerto in D major.

Tickets are $40 for adults and $10 for students. Parking is free and plentiful.
