Get into the holiday spirit with an evening of festive music and seasonal cheer at the “Joyful Harmonies of the Holidays” concert, hosted by the Greenwich Public Schools Honor Choir on Friday, December 6, 2024 at 7:00 pm at the Greenwich High School Performing Arts Center. Doors open at 6:30pm.
This special holiday event will feature a variety of holiday music performed by the talented students of the Greenwich School District Honor Choir, which provides artistic and educational enrichment for young singers in grades 5 through 8. The concert will also showcase performances from the GHS Madrigals and Witchmen, elite ensembles of auditioned 10th–12th graders, and special guests Backtrack Vocals, a dynamic New York City-based a cappella group known for their diverse and engaging performances.
Backtrack Vocals brings their signature blend of heart, humor, and harmony to the stage, with a repertoire that spans Top 40 hits, Motown classics, classical arrangements, show tunes, and original music. With over 250 educational programs worldwide, the group has inspired countless young artists through workshops and a cappella camps. Their YouTube channel has garnered over 113,000 subscribers and 13 million views, and they’ve appeared on NBC, FOX, PBS, Steve Harvey’s STEVE!, and made their film debut in A Ring for Christmas (2020).
The GHS Madrigals & Witchmen, a select performing ensemble comprised of auditioned 10th-12th graders and well-known for their outstanding vocal talent, will also perform a selection of holiday music as part of this joyful celebration.
