Greenwich Pen Women “Owl Award” Goes to Catherine Stahl

Greenwich artist Catherine Stahl is the 2015 winner of Greenwich Pen Women’s prestigious Owl Award. Greenwich Pen Women, a branch of the National League of American Pen Women, is an organization of professional writers, artists and musicians.

The organization’s highest honor, the award has been given annually since 1990 to the member whose contribution in her field, her community and the organization is outstanding.

Barbara O’Shea, the 2012 honoree presented the award at the organization’s December 10 Holiday luncheon at the Field Club.

Kia Heavey, a graphic artist, writer and wife of the Town of Greenwich’s Chief of Police, whose book “Domino” won a Kindle Scout Award for fiction and is being published by Kindle Press, spoke about her experiences in the new world of self-publishing.  In particular, she talked about “promoting your work for people who don’t like to promote themselves.”
