The Greenwich Arts Council’s Curiosity Concerts new series has been announced. There will be 10 free family concerts this season, starting with a sax quartet on Sept. 19 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm, at the YWCA. The concerts are FREE, but reservations are required. The concerts are suitable for children of any age able to enjoy one hour of music.
In “Saxophone Explorers,” the Asylum Quartet guides listeners of all ages through a musical adventure. With the help of classic works by Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, and Antonín Dvořák – alongside colorful contemporary pieces by Alan Thomas and Lev “Ljova” Zhurbin – you’ll visit far-off places, encounter musical characters, and undoubtedly fall in love with the instruments of the saxophone family.
Curiosity Concerts are professional concerts designed to inspire parents, grandparents, and children of any age, from 5 to 95. They are held at different venues in the Greenwich area. Concerts are free, but reservations for every seat are required. Please, only reserve if you are certain to attend.
