Byram Shubert Library Jazz Concert and VIP Reception Set for April 27

The Friends of the Byram Shubert Library are excited to announce an evening of music and mirth on Thursday, April 27 at the library, 21 Mead Avenue, Byram.

There will be a VIP Reception just before the jazz concert to benefit the Friends of Byram Shubert Library. For a $20 entry fee at the VIP Reception will meet the members of the Peter Hand Jazz Quartet, enjoy mouth-watering hors d’oeuvres and wine – and bid on terrific items in the Silent Auction.

A free jazz concert with the Peter Hand Jazz Quartet will follow the reception at 7:00pm. The concert is to the public.

A colorful framed print by local artist, Lizzy Rockwell, is one of the items featured in the VIP Reception’s silent auction preceding the evening’s free jazz concert.

The VIP event includes a silent auction with items that include a lesson in pasta making and dinner for four, a family membership in the Greenwich Historical Society, an artist-drawn caricature of two people and several gourmet treats.

All proceeds from the evening will support the free programs provided by the Friends for our community, including  health and wellness activities for adults and children, school vacation week programs, Saturday crafts and story hours…and much more and community events such as the Holiday Tree Lighting.

Featured will be noted jazz guitarist and composer Peter Hand.  Musicians include vocalist Tony Jefferson, saxophonist Ralph Lalama, Harvie S on bass and drummer Steve Johns.
