Greenwich Town Party, the all-day, family music festival, on Tuesday announced the local bands chosen to perform on the Town Stage on Saturday, May 24, at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.
The five local bands with Greenwich roots are: Jake Swamp & The Pine, North County Band, Marci Lynn and The Boys!, Kaintuck, and Connor Sobieri Group. Created to celebrate talent within the Greenwich community, the Town Stage offers local musicians of all ages, backgrounds and styles the opportunity to open for world-renowned artists. Throughout the day, the performances will rotate between the Main Stage and the Town Stage.
Representing the Color Guard, the Ninth District Veterans Association Color Guard will kick off the day’s performances at 11:30am. The Melody Men will then perform God Bless America, followed by the United States Military Academy’s West Point Band singing The National Anthem.
The Main Stage performances will start in the early afternoon with the highly anticipated lineup of Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour (performance for children); New Orleans’ Preservation Hall Jazz Band; eight-time Grammy Award-winner Ziggy Marley, and Grammy Award-winning musician Alanis Morissette.
All Community Tickets were sold during an online ticket lottery in March. Neighbor tickets and Sponsor passes are available for sale on the GTP website and are expected to sell out. Neighbor tickets provide unlimited access to the Neighborhood Area with wine, beer and catered custom food from Best in Gourmet Catering throughout the day and evening. The Sponsor level offers unlimited access to the Sponsor Tent with catered food by Marcia Selden Catering and a full bar throughout the day and evening. Both levels have access to designated, premier parking.
GTP will also have local food vendors on-site throughout the day including: Bella Nonna; Burgers, Shakes and Fries; Fjord Fish Market; Garelick and Herbs; Little Pub; Longford’s Ice Cream; Tomatillo; and Wildacre Rotisserie.
Children’s activities, including inflatable bouncy houses, balloon art, stilt walkers, face painting, air brush tattoos, and hair tinsels, run from 10:00am to 2:00pm, followed by the children’s performance of Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour on the Main Stage.

Jake Swamp & The Pine
Jake Swamp & The Pine is an indie-folk band based across Massachusetts and Connecticut with Greenwich’s Joey Wheelan, as well as Drew Zieff, Jonathan Ulman, Josh Gold, and Jeff Howard. With similarities to Noah Kahan, Ben Rector, and Mumford and Sons, Jake Swamp & The Pine is a band on the rise. They’ve been nominated four years in a row for the Boston Music Awards’ Americana Act of the Year, as well as the New England Music Awards’ Americana Act of the Year.

North County
North County Band
The North County Band is the product of Chicago-born singer-songwriter Scott Smith and Texas fiddle phenom Cat Lines. Together, they have gathered some of Connecticut’s most seasoned and versatile musicians to complement their songwriting craft and to deliver a signature sound. Twice nominated as “County Act of the Year” by the New England Music Awards, they are currently touring New England in support of their sophomore album “Lay it on the Line.”
Band member Jona Ziac is a multi-generational Greenwich native and a ’91 graduate of GHS.
Marci Lynn and The Boys!
This high-energy group brings the heat wherever they go. Known for their dynamic performances and crowd-pleasing setlists, Marci Lynn and The Boys! play favorite hits, guaranteed to get people dancing and singing along.
Their versatility shines through, as they effortlessly connect with audiences of all ages and musical tastes.

Kaintuck
Kaintuck is a cover band comprised of six dads who discovered they all resonated with timeless melodies that echoed through the ages.
Anchored by Greenwich local and owner of recently opened Round Hill Music, Josh Gruss, they specialize in the “songs you forgot you love.”
They bring a menu filled with rock classics from the Grateful Dead to the Killers and describe themselves as “a spoonful of classic rock, with a sprinkle of 80s, a pinch of 90s, and a dash of yacht rock.”
Connor Sobieri Group
Greenwich native Connor Sobieri is a composer and saxophonist whose music draws from the realms of jazz, pop, hip hop, R&B, rock, and funk.
A recent graduate of NYU, Connor has had the opportunity to perform alongside such names as Chris Potter, Steve Wilson, Melissa Aldana, Alan Ferber, Benny Bennack III, and Matt Wilson at prestigious venues such as Dizzy’s Club, Birdland, and NuBlu and has toured internationally.
He works as a bandleader and sideman, writing music for his genre-bending Connor Sobieri Group and plays locally with a variety of groups.
