Arch in Bloom’s Annual Pumpkins & Pints Is Saturday, Oct 4

Arch in Bloom’s annual Pumpkins & Pints event is set for Saturday, Oct 4 from 12-6pm.

The event is free to attend is good family fun with pumpkin painting and a scavenger hunts.  The event features live music, hot dogs, sweet treats and a chance to sample beer from Greenwich Brewing Company.

Pick your pumpkins and gourds and step inside the retail shop to explore unique Halloween-themed products, including tarot cards, oracle decks, Venus fly traps, sage for smudging, dried flower bouquets, and a variety of books including a mushroom cookbook and a mushroom foraging book.

Of course Derek D’Andrea and his staff got creative over the summer to create amazing displays. At the front window of the retail store you’ll find a pirate, treasure chest and a full taxidermy hammerhead shark that Derek said was a new addition he found on Facebook Marketplace.

‘The jaw is attached to a fiberglass body, so the teeth are real,” he said.

The other front window features Adam and Barb Maitland, characters from Beetlejuice, who distort their faces to scare away the Deetz family.  As the story goes the Maitlands perish in a car accident and don’t realize they’re dead.

Arch in Bloom is located at 201 Pemberwick Road in Greenwich. Tel. (203) 550-1235

Seasonal hours are 9-5 daily and 10-4 on Sundays.
