American Legion Post 29 to Host Pancake Breakfast in Glenville

The American Legion Post 29 Pancake Breakfast is set for Saturday, April 22 at the American Legion in Glenville. There will also be a dedication of the Post’s new Flagpole.

The event also marks the 50th Anniversary of Ending Vietnam War.

The Post’s Greenwich headquarters in Glenville are at 248 Glenville Road.

The Horseneck Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) will be co-hosting the celebration.

The event will be starting at 8:30 am and breakfast will be served until 11:30. (In the event of rain, the event will take place on Sunday, April 23.

Breakfast will include orange juice, pancakes/maple syrup, bacon, sausages, and coffee.

Immediately prior to breakfast, First Selectman Fred Camillo will dedicate the Post’s new flagpole. During breakfast Post 29 Vietnam Veterans will highlight some of their experiences serving in that war and answer questions.

Tickets: Adults $15, Children 10 and older $10 (children under 10 – free)

Proceeds will be used to support youth programs in Greenwich: Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, American Legion Baseball, and Boys and Girls State (a leadership program for high school students)
