On Thursday, the ninth and final full day of hearings at Havemeyer to determine whether John Yoon will hold onto his job as band director at Greenwich High school brought laughter, tears and some gasps. Student “E” and Student “F” testified, as did GEA president Carol Sutton and GHS media specialist Marie Shimchick.

On Wednesday night there was a student concert at Greenwich High School, their first in the new Performing Arts Center. There was almost a full house (we hear there were a few empty seats on the balcony), and guests marveled at the acoustics, along with the performance of an original piece by GHS grad class of ’81, Rob Mathes entitled “Can You Hear me?”
