As Greenwich Squash prepares to kick-off its 2026-27 season, it is taking the opportunity to celebrate its successes from the past season. The Greenwich Public School student-athletes of Greenwich Squash achieved tremendous success and accolades across its divisions.
Program Director David Chass said, “Last season was triumphant for Greenwich Squash. It was a season we had been targeting for several years and it did not disappoint. As we begin the new season, our challenge now is to maintain the program’s high level of success.”
High School Division
For the first time in program history, the Boy’s team captured the regular season FairWest Cup, beating Rye High School 7-0 in the championship match-up. The championship culminated an undefeated regular season during which the Boys won 54 of the 55 individual matches played. At the U.S. Squash National High School Championships the team competed in Division II for the first time.
In addition, many Greenwich Squash student-athletes achieved individual accolades based on their performance.
U.S. Squash All-American Awards
Siblings Mariam Fahimi (GHS ‘26) and Sebastien Fahimi (‘28) were recognized by U.S. Squash with its highest award. All-American recognition celebrates junior players who have reached “a pinnacle of accomplishment in junior tournament competition and high school league play.” Mariam will be playing this season for Colby College’s Varsity Women’s squash team.

SquashOut Cancer 2026
Six members of the Greenwich Squash community – Grace Scharff, Rajsi Choudhary, Terra McDonnell, Alex Duda, Harrison Park, and Brendan McConnell – represented Greenwich Squash at the recent SquashOut Cancer event to raise funds for pediatric cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Our Greenwich Squash participants joined squash players from the community to rally together, compete, and most importantly, make a difference for children and families affected by cancer. The Greenwich Squash community surpassed its goal by raising $6,120 for MSKCC.
Middle School Division
The Greenwich Middle School student-athletes of Greenwich Squash captured the combined program’s first Middle School National Championship at the 2026 U.S. Middle School Team Squash Championships in February. More than 90 schools and programs and 500 players participated in this year’s event.
The Greenwich Squash team battled throughout the tournament to win the Division II championship, outlasting 15 other teams to bring home their trophies. The team was composed of Aiden Anderson Rahimtula, David Anderson Rahimtula, Arjun Ankalkoti, and Keegan Hart from Eastern Middle School, and Ryan Chass and Brett Lin from Western Middle School.
Overall, the Greenwich Squash Middle School program combines more than 50 children from all three Greenwich middle schools and six Greenwich elementary schools.
Greenwich Squash is a fully parent-volunteer led program which aims to promote the sport of squash in the town’s public schools.
Greenwich Squash teams participate in the FairWest Public School Squash Association (FairWest), a league founded in 2008 to support public school squash in Fairfield and Westchester Counties, and surrounding areas.
In the 2025-26 season, FairWest had approximately 500 High School players and 200 elementary and middle schoolers participating in the league, making it one of the largest scholastic squash leagues in the United States.
