- Heavy rainfall: 1.5–2.5 inches is possible in the Flood Watch area, with locally higher amounts.
- Peak rainfall rates: Approximately 2–2.5 inches per hour are possible.
- Flash flooding:The greatest threat is expected between 6:00 PM and midnight, with scattered to numerous instances of flooding possible, particularly in:
- Urban areas
- Poor drainage areas
- Low-lying locations
- Areas near quickly responding streams and waterways
- Thunderstorms: Some storms could become strong to severe, with damaging wind gusts the primary concern. An isolated tornado cannot be completely ruled out.
- Transportation impacts: Flash flooding could result in road flooding and localized transportation disruptions.
Given the potential for high rainfall rates over a relatively short period, conditions could change quickly this evening.
