Hudson Valley Honor Flight Organizes Trip to Washington, DC for 61 Veterans

The Hudson Valley Honor Flight organization, established to honor veterans, held its annual Honor Flight on Saturday. The charitable organization flew 61 veterans of the Vietnam, Korean, and World War II conflicts to Washington DC, where they toured several monuments before having dinner and flying back to White Plains airport, where they were greeted by several hundred family and friends.

Along with the veterans, the chartered flight also included individual dedicated chaperones, administrators, and medical staff. Airport staff established a greeting area where the veterans were individually cheered as they deplaned, before being reunited with family and friends.

Hudson Valley Honor Flights, part of the National Honor Flight Foundation, is a 501(c3) charitable organization established to honor American War Heroes.
