The Greenwich High School PTA announced the launch of a new online job board designed to connect GHS students with local employers seeking part‑time help, summer workers, interns, and early‑career talent.
The platform, Starteryou, is now live and available to the Greenwich community.
The GHS PTA, school administration, and the College and Career Counseling Center collaborated to bring the Starteryou platform to the GHS community.
Starteryou is an independent job‑board platform that provides students with a safe and secure way to explore part‑time jobs, summer work, and internships. Employers can register at starteryou.com to post opportunities, and a brief tutorial video on youtube is available to help them get started. The Starteryou app is available on the Apple app store and the Google play store.
“The GHS PTA has ensured there is a job board for the GHS community for many years, but we had to find a new one this year,” said Monica Huang, GHS PTA Co‑President. “We reviewed several options and selected Starteryou because it best supports our students and community. It offers the functionality students, families and employers want and aligns with the needs of the school and district.”
Alison Lochridge, who leads the GHS College and Career Counseling Center, talked about the demand for this service.
“A job board is just essential for our students, and there’s tremendous demand for this from individuals and businesses in our community. Every week, students ask me about how they can find work and other opportunities… and every week, prospective employers call me to ask how they can hire the hardworking, talented students at GHS.”
Starteryou CEO and Founder Michael Berlingo commented on the enthusiasm from local employers.
“We work with a number of schools and districts in Connecticut, but we’re really excited about the opportunity to support the Greenwich High School students, Greenwich families, and local employers who want to post jobs. In the first days, we’ve already seen job postings in Greenwich,” Berlingo said.
The GHS PTA encourages local businesses, nonprofits, and families to take advantage of this new resource. By posting opportunities on Starteryou, employers play a direct role in supporting GHS students’ growth while gaining access to a motivated, talented pool of young workers.
