In 2008, Christ Church Greenwich helped construct one classroom for a community of Maasai families who had resettled far from any school. Today, more than 1,900 students are receiving an education — and that is only part of the story.

What has grown out of that single act of faith in rural Africa is nothing short of extraordinary. Clean water. Thriving schools. A partnership between two communities separated by continents and an ocean but united by something much stronger.

Cheryl Kyle and Karen Royce, co-leaders of Christ Church’s outreach to the Diocese of Mt. Kilimanjaro, will share an update on everything that happened in 2025 — including a brand new video fresh from the field — and will give us a first look at plans for a 2028 trip to celebrate the 20th anniversary of this remarkable ministry.

Whether you’ve traveled to Tanzania with Cheryl and Karen before, heard them speak, are new to Christ Church, or have simply never heard this story, don’t miss this. It will remind you of what a small community with a big faith can accomplish.
