PATE: Do you feel safer?

Submitted by Nicole Pate, Greenwich

Do you feel safer? Because if you think crime is just a headline in a distant city, think again. It’s creeping into our backyards, and we need someone who’s not afraid to fight back. Enter Senator Ryan Fazio, a man who understands that crime prevention isn’t about passing flashy laws that look good on paper. It’s about real-world solutions that keep criminals off the streets and guns out of the wrong hands.

Ryan opposed a recent so-called safety bill, not because he’s against safety, but because it was a piece of legislation that did more to punish law-abiding citizens than it did to tackle the real problem: illegal guns in the hands of criminals. He’s pushing for real change—like restoring police powers to conduct consent searches, a tool that’s proven to get illegal guns off our streets.

But what’s more, Ryan isn’t just another politician waving the crime flag for votes. He’s someone who’s rolled up his sleeves and done the hard work, crafting laws that strengthen our background check system and ensure that guns don’t end up in the hands of those who shouldn’t have them. This isn’t about political posturing. It’s about protecting our community.

So, if you care about real safety—not the kind you see in campaign ads, but the kind you experience walking down your own street—vote for Ryan Fazio. He’s the candidate who’s doing more than talking. He’s making Greenwich safer, one real-world solution at a time.
