JUROR: Elizabeth Sherman, Associate Curator, Whitney Museum of American Art, NYC
Since joining the Whitney in 2009, Elisabeth Sherman has worked on a number of exhibitions, beginning with Paul Thek: Diver, A Retrospective. Elisabeth assisted on the 2012 Whitney Biennial as well as the 2014 Biennial. In 2012, she curated Trisha Baga: Plymouth Rock 2 in the Museum’s lobby gallery. Elisabeth helps coordinate the acquisitions for the museum’s Photography Committee as well as serving as curatorial liaison to the Whitney Contemporaries.
Among other projects, she is currently working on the upcoming exhibition and catalogue of the Thea Westreich Wagner and Ethan Wagner collection. Elisabeth received a BA from Dartmouth College, and an MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.
AWARDS: Awards totaling at least $2,000 will be presented at the opening reception.
