Leora Levy Announces Candidacy for 36th District State Senate Seat

Statement from Leora Levy, July 1, 2021

Having lived in Greenwich for 33 years, I have worked tirelessly in public service and philanthropy to improve the lives of all the residents of the 36th District.

Today, I am proud to announce that I am officially entering the race for our 36th District State Senate seat. I will fight for our families, our communities, and our God-given freedom when all are under attack. Please join me in restoring Connecticut’s economy, and defending our District from the efforts of those who would obstruct parental rights and local control of our shared civic life.

If I am elected, I will be a senator who will always fight for every resident of the district and for all of CT’s families! I understand how much of what happens in Hartford affects our daily lives. As the mother of three sons, all raised in CT, I know how concerning some of the laws passed this past session must seem to parents who now have had their right to control the medical care and raising of their own children stripped away. I understand how worried parents are about the content and quality of their children’s education as well as the local control of their local schools. I understand the frustration of the police who have lost their qualified immunity and funding. I understand
how expensive it is to live in CT and how we cannot afford more taxes! CT does not have a revenue problem; it has a spending problem!

As your State Senator, in me, you will always have a champion in Hartford who will stand up for you and fight for you!

Please join me! Together we can reverse the downward spiral of the great Constitution State.

Thank you!

Leora Levy
