Homestead Inn Seeks to Renovate and Redevelop Property on Field Point Rd

The owners of the Homestead Inn and Restaurant at 420 Field Point Road have submitted a pre-application to Greenwich Planning & Zoning to renovate existing buildings and reduce of the number of guest rooms by combining them into suites.

Located in the town’s R-20 single family zone, the property features four buildings. It is classified as a “bed and breakfast inn” and there is parking or 42 cars.

It is abutted by Mercia Lane on the south and several houses on Field Point Rd flag lots to the north and west.

The restaurant building, which contains 10 guest rooms, would be renovated with the number of guest rooms reduced by combining them into suites.

The barn would be renovated to provide for two guest rooms, but the overall number of rooms there would also be reduced.

The property, which is 2.73 acres, is owned by Homestead Associates LLC and Theresa Henkelmann.

Renovations would include new windows, doors, painting and interior modifications.

According to the file, additions or increases in footprint are not anticipated unless required by the Town.
