Wright Technical High School to Hold Open House for Prospective Students on Nov 8

JM Wright Technical High School, part of the Connecticut Technical Education and Career System (CTECS), is hosting an open house for prospective students and their families on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.

The school is located at 120 Bridge St in Stamford.

Wright Tech is accepting applications for students entering grades 9 and 10 in fall 2019.

The open house event will provide prospective students with information about academics and the 10 trade areas offered by the technical school:

• Auto Mechanics
• Carpentry
• Culinary Arts
• Digital Media
• Electrical
• Facilities Management
• Health Technology
• Hospitality
• Information Systems Technology
* Plumbing and Heating

Wright Tech offers students in grades 9-12 a full-day high school program that focuses on rigorous core academics while preparing graduates for immediate employment, entry into apprenticeship programs or admission into a two- or four-year college.

There are several opportunities to earn college credit while attending the technical school through partnerships with Norwalk Community College, UCONN, University of Northwestern Ohio and more. Currently, Wright Tech has four adjunct UCONN professors on its teaching staff.

Unique to the technical high school experience are the real projects and hands-on career development experience students get through partnerships with local companies.
