The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is celebrating educators with its annual Teacher’s Day on Saturday, November 15.
As educators prepare to enrich their curriculum and plan meaningful field trips throughout the school year, The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk invites them to its annual Teacher’s Day celebration on November 15, 2025.
In appreciation of their commitment to inspiring future generations, all teachers, along with one guest, will receive complimentary admission to the Aquarium.
The event offers a unique opportunity for teachers to explore The Maritime Aquarium’s exhibits and discover educational programs tailored for students from early elementary through high school.
Attendees are invited to Oyster Hall in the morning for complimentary coffee, tea or hot chocolate between 10;00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., to engage with Aquarium educators and fellow teachers. This informal gathering will highlight how the Aquarium can serve as a dynamic extension of the classroom.
“Teachers are the cornerstone of lifelong learning,” said Tom Naiman, vice president of education at The Maritime Aquarium. “We’re thrilled to welcome them to the Aquarium and showcase how our exhibits and programs can enhance classroom learning in engaging, hands-on ways.”
Teachers must present a valid school ID to receive free admission.
Additional guests are welcome at standard admission prices; tickets are available for purchase in advance or on-site the day of the event.
The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk is open daily from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
