Stamford Teen Loses Leg Following Tragic Accident

A promising Stamford High School senior was injured in a freak car accident on Wednesday.

According to a GoFundMe page created by his friends, just two days after Christmas, Erwin was working at Table 104, a restaurant and bar located at 299 Long Ridge Rd in Stamford when the incident took place. A car driven by a valet plowed through a wall and into the kitchen, injuring Erwin.

Erwin sustained serious injury to his leg, which was later amputated.

Erwin’s friends set up a GoFundMe page to help defray his medical expenses. A link to the GoFundMe page is also posted on the Stamford High School website.

As of Saturday, $10,623 of $150,000 goal had been raised.

Erwin’s friends described him as an incredibly hard-working and motivated senior at Stamford High School.  They say that if there is anybody who can rise to meet such a challenge, it is Erwin.

The restaurant has since closed.
