Sacred Heart Greenwich is proud to announce that Sarah Bellissimo ’27, Caeley Clough ’27, Meghan Marshall ’27, Carolyn McBreen ’27, Whitney Rousseau ’27, and Miranda Zapata-Mardini ’27 were named as 2027 Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSC).
About 34,000 Commended Students nationwide are being recognized for their exceptional academic achievements and placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2027 competition.
The NMSC, a not-for-profit organization established in 1955, honors the nation’s scholastic champions who exemplify academic excellence. High school juniors enter the program through participation in the 2025 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which was offered in October.
“Sacred Heart Greenwich is thrilled to celebrate six students who have earned national recognition as 2027 Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program,” said Michael F. Baber, President of Sacred Heart Greenwich said in a release. “This distinction reflects their academic excellence and dedication, and we are immensely proud of all they have accomplished.”
