ISD Honors Veterans in School-Wide Celebration

International School at Dundee (ISD) students and faculty hosted its annual Veteran’s Day Assembly on November 12. The 4th grade students presented information about America’s different military organizations, along with a lovely tribute of symbolism from the book “America’s White Table.”

The assembly also included a school-wide recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance and a sing-a-long of patriotic songs, including My Country Tis of Thee, accompanied by ISD 4th grader Jacky Song on clarinet. Beautiful notes of thanks from many classes were given to the veterans who attended the ceremony.

The International School at Dundee was authorized in July of 2003 as an official International Baccalaureate school. ISD is one of only 181 IB Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) authorized schools in the US, and one of only a few elementary schools in Connecticut to receive the IBPYP accreditation. ISD offers programs for students from kindergarten through fifth grade.
