Hamilton Avenue School Celebrates Husky Day with Flair!

On Friday the staff and students of Hamilton Avenue School celebrated Husky Day with a variety of outdoor and indoor activities, and it was a gorgeous day!

“Husky Day was a Get Out and Play initiative by the State of Connecticut that we have created to give children a fun day to play outside and enjoy the daily planned activities,” said PE teacher Bob Alvarado who coordinated the event.

Mr. Alvarado explained that students traveled as a grade to a variety of stations which included Mat-Ball, Kindness Rock Painting, Story Time, Water Relay Races, Bracelet Making, Field Games, Art in Nature, Whole Grade Music sessions, and a visit by the Greenwich Fire Dept.

Each station was 30 minutes and the whole Hamilton Avenue staff, Student Council members and PTA volunteers assisted in the running of all the stations throughout the morning.
