Greenwich Schools World Languages Coordinator Heads to Hartford Public Schools


Greenwich Public Schools World Languages Coordinator announced has accepted a job with Hartford Public Schools.

Viviana Conner  will serve as the Executive Director for Elementary and Middle School Grades, effective July 13.

“I have valued my time with the Greenwich Public Schools. It has been a fulfilling five years in service of the students and the staff,” Conner said. “I will miss my colleagues here, but look forward to new challenges in my career.”

Ms. Conner joined the GPS in August 2013 and for the last five years has been responsible for aligning the World Language Curriculum to the Connecticut Common Core Standards for English Language Arts to support speaking and listening skills of a language learner.

She worked to implement a renewed system of assessment for the FLES Program at the elementary school to measure students language acquisition and development, and also worked closely with the Assistant Superintendent in the development of a personalized approach to professional learning for K-12 World Language Educators.
