Cos Cob School Assistant Principal Placed on Administrative Leave

On Tuesday, a Project Veritas video of Cos Cob School assistant principal Jeremy Boland was published online and quickly went viral.

In the video, filmed by hidden camera by an under cover reporter, Boland spoke to a woman about preferring to hire young/Protestant/liberal candidates for teaching positions rather than older/Catholic/conservative ones.

On Wednesday morning an initial email from Greenwich Schools Superintendent Dr. Toni Jones to families said a full investigation would be conducted, and that the district did not promote discriminatory hiring practices based on race, religion, gender, or age in any way.

She added that the district’s curriculum, policies and procedures are strictly enforced by the Board.

Wednesday afternoon, a second email from Dr. Jones was sent to families saying, “Immediately, that person was placed on administrative leave.”

Further, Jones repeated, “We do not support any opinions that promote discriminatory hiring practices based on race, religion, gender, or age in any way, and we want to remind our entire community that our curriculum policies and procedures are strictly enforced by our Board.”
