BOE Schedules Special Meeting with Public Hearing and Update on Music in Middle School

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING PLEASE POST

Notice is hereby given of a Special Meeting of the Greenwich Board of Education, to be held on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at 7:00pm, via teleconference as permitted by Executive Order 7b (March 14, 2020). Details on accessing the meeting can be accessed at GreenwichSchools.org/VirtualMeetings.

The meeting is being held in-person for Board of Education and Administrative Cabinet members, adhering to State gathering restriction and social distancing guidelines. The public can attend via Zoom via the information stated above.

The Agenda for the meeting in addition to relevant Board of Education documents are posted at GreenwichSchools.org/BoardDocs. Members of the public can address the Board in real time by submitting the Public Comment Speaker Form prior to 12 noon the day of the meeting.

Please be advised that the Board will be taking one hour of public comment during the public hearing portion at the start of the business meeting, with additional time allotted for public comment following the completion of the business agenda. Speakers will be recognized in the order they signed-up. Each speaker will be allotted three minutes and a timer will appear on the screen.

Members of the public may also continue to submit public comments via the following email address: [email protected], beginning at the time of the posting of the public notice of a meeting and ending at the scheduled start time of said meeting. These comments will be included in the public record for that meeting and posted as a meeting document on the GPS e-governance website. Members of the public are encouraged to send their thoughts and opinions to the Board at any time, but only those received during the public comment submission window will be included in the public record of a Board of Education meeting.
