“We are so excited that Mr. DeAngelo has agreed to be the 2015 Commencement Speaker. He is a Greenwich High School Alumnus, Class of 1975,” GHS senior class President Julia Bunte-Mein said. “He is an outstanding community and youth leader who has dedicated his life to giving back to others. We cannot wait to welcome him back to share his inspiring message.”

“Bob has been a good friend to Greenwich High School for many years. Most of our graduates, at one point or another, spent time at the Greenwich Boys and Girls Club,” Dr. Winters said. “They know how that institution, under the steady leadership of Bob, contributed to the person they are today. It is an honor to welcome Bob back to GHS and to have him impart his wisdom on our graduates.”

Mr. DeAngelo served as the Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich for sixteen years (1998-2014.) He attended the Club growing up in Greenwich and credits the organization for its positive influence. Mr. DeAngelo reenergized the Club with innovative programming, strong partnerships throughout the community, and a robust capital campaign to rebuild the clubhouse.

Prior to his work at the Boys and Girls Club, Mr. DeAngelo was the Director of International Marketing for Europe/Middle East, based in Munich, Germany for Texas Instruments. From the time he was in college volunteering as a Big Brother to riding his bicycle across the county to raise funds to benefit the children of Greenwich, Bob DeAngelo has been dedicated to the service of those in need.
