Woman Charged with Resisting Arrest after Report of Disturbance inside St Mary’s Church

On October 14 around 3:30pm, Greenwich Police say a local woman caused a disturbance inside St Mary’s Church on Greenwich Avenue.

Officers located the suspect, Nana Kukhlashvili, 48, of Greenwich as she was walking away from the church, and that attempts to gather he side of the story met with negative results.

While investigating the matter, Ms Kukhlashvili failed to identify herself and attempted to walk away from investigating officers.

After police physically prevented her from walking away, she swung at one of the officers and struck his right arm.

She was placed under arrest and refused to put her hands behind her back despite numerous requests.

She was eventually taken into custody and charged with two counts o Interfering with Officer/Resisting arrest.

She has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 30, 2023. She was released from custody on a written Promise to Appear.
