Woman Arrested by Warrant for Leaving Infant Alone in Car

On March 11 Greenwich Police received a tip from a citizen that there was an infant child alone in a car on Liberty Way crying for at least 15 minutes.

Police say when they arrived on scene and located the mother who was shopping approximately 100 yards away.

They subsequently applied for an arrest warrant for Wendy May Dimartino, 23, of Stanton Drive in Stamford, for Unsupervised Child Under 12 Left in Public Place.

The warrant was signed in Stamford Superior Court.

Dimartino turned herself in to Greenwich Police on March 26. She was processed and posted the $10,000 cash bond.

She has a date in Stamford Superior Court on May 20,2020.
