Two More Motor Vehicles Vanish in Greenwich

Greenwich Police report that there were two motor vehicle thefts in recent days.

In both incidents the cars were left unlocked with the keys within.

The first stolen car was a 2014 Ford F 150 pickup truck in Byram that had beenleft with keys in the center console when the owner went for a walk at 3:00am.

The owner returned 20 minutes later to discover his truck was gone.

The second incident took place on Sept 28. Police say the owner of a 2016 BMW 535 had “rented” it out on an app where individuals can rent their personal vehicles to strangers. GPD said the vehicle was never returned.

Police urge residents to lock their car every time and bring their keys with them. Car thieves work in the overnight hours looking for unlocked vehicles in all parts of town.
