Tinted Window Violation Leads to Multiple Charges for Greenwich Man

New Greenwich Police CarsOn Friday, Sept. 26, just after midnight Greenwich Police stopped a black Honda Civic on in the area of 10 Mason Street for a window tint violation.

According to police, investigation at the scene determined that the vehicle operator Sasha Jarufe, 26, of 39 LeGrande Ave was operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license. While being searched, incident to an arrest, a small plastic bag was found in Jarufe’s left shoe. The small bag was tested and results were positive for Marijuana.

Jarufe was placed under arrest and charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under Suspension, Possession of Small Amount of Cannabis (under 1/2 oz), and written Warnings for Tinted Windows. He was released after posting a $50 cash bond and has a date in Stamford Court on Oct. 10, 2014.
