Teen Charged after Kicking Car and Threatening People Parked Behind Chinese Restaurant

A 17-year-old Greenwich girl was charged on Dec. 8 with Breach of Peace, Criminal Mischief and Threatening after in incident in the parking lot behind the Chinese restaurant at the corner of East Putnam Ave and Riverside Ave on Dec. 8.

The incident occurred around 12:40pm when the youthful offender allegedly kicked a car following a disagreement between herself and a former friend.

According to Greenwich Police, officers responded to an establishment on the report that a juvenile was observed kicking and damaging a car.

According to the report, the juvenile had observed her former friend with a male sitting in a car. The suspect began screaming at the occupants and tried to drag the passenger out of the vehicle. She allegedly kicked the vehicle causing damage while threatening the operator of the vehicle. The suspected then sent text messages to the female within the vehicle threatening that someone was watching and continuing to threaten them.
