Suspect Charged in Connection to Cos Cob Commercial Burglary

On Tuesday around 7:30pm Greenwich Police responded to Stamford Police Dept to pick up a prisoner, Jimil S Gaskins, 25, of Washington Blvd in Stamford, who was being held on an outstanding warrant on a Greenwich case.

Back on January 28, 2019 a Cos Cob business reported that they had been burglarized overnight. Police conducted an investigation and developed probable cause to believe Gaskins was responsible for the burglary. A warrant for his arrest was issued.

This week he was charged with Burglary 3.

He was unable to post his $50,000 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on June 11, 2019.

Gaskins is familiar to Greenwich Police. On April 27, Darien Police notified Greenwich Police they had a man in custody who had two active warrants in Greenwich. He was wanted for Burglary 2 and Larceny 4 for an incident that took place on Aug 13, 2018 when Gaskins allegedly entered a commercial building in Greenwich and stole cash. Bond for those charges was set at $75,000.

He was also wanted for Burglary 3 and Larceny 6 for an incident on March 25, 2019 when he again allegedly entered a commercial building in Greenwich and stole cash. Bond for those charges was set at $50,000.

He also has outstanding charges from Darien Police for Burglary 3 and Larceny 6 for an incident on March 18, 2019, and Burglary 3 and Larceny 5 charges for incident in Darien on Jan 22, 2019.
