Stamford Man Charged with DUI, Improper Parking in Riverside

Back on Feb 8, 2020 around 4:00am, Greenwich Police observed a vehicle parked with its engine running facing west in the easternmost travel lane at the intersection of Wescott Court and Neil Lane.

The driver, Kevin Lopez, 21 of Stamford, had glassy red eyes and officers detected the odor of alcohol. He did not perform field sobriety tests to standard.

Further investigation determined Lopez was in possession of 7.9 grams of marijuana which he had a CT Medical Marijuana card for. However, it wasn’t stores in its proper container.

Lopez was charged on July 19 with Failure to Keep Narcotic in Original Container, Improper Parking, and DUI.

His bond was set at $250 and he has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Aug 3, 2020
