Bernardo Desaavedra, 77, of 3 Canterbury Green in Stamford was charged by Greenwich Police with Larceny 4 on Dec 12, 2017.
According to Greenwich Poice Lt Slusarz, officers responded to Hermes of Paris around 3pm on a report of a shoplifter.
Through video surveillance and witness accounts. Mr. Desaavedra was observed to have placed several ties, worth $1,148.58, in his jacket pocket and walk out of the store.
Lt. Slusarz said that the ties sell for about $150 each, but the merchandise was recovered.
Mr. Desaavedra’s bond was set at $500, which he was able to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Dec 26, 2017.
