An 18-year-old from Greenwich, Randy Z Brown, 18, of 71 Oak Ridge Street in Greenwich was arrested by Greenwich Police on Wednesday night around 9:00pm.
According to the arrest report, Police were conducting a motor vehicle stop in front of 181 West Putnam Ave when they recognized a male walking down the sidewalk who they recognized as Randy Brown, known to have an active arrest warrant.
While Mr. Brown was being arrested, police found a plastic bag containing a green leafy substance in his pants pocket, which he acknowledged was “weed.”
He was issued an Infraction ticket for Possession of Marijuana under 1/2 oz.
He was also charged on the warrant for his arrest. According to Lt Slusarz, back in August Mr. Brown, had been in the Shell station on West Putnam Ave where he allegedly stole a container of 24 JUUL e-cigarette pods.
For that incident Brown was charged with Larceny 5 and Interfering with an Officer.
His bond was set at $10,000, which he was unable to post. He was assigned a date in Stamford Superior Court on Oct 24, 2018.
