Pickup Truck Driver Who Hit 3 Cars and a Tree in Byram Faces Multiple Charges

Greenwich Police announced an arrest was made following the crash of a Ford F-150 on Delavan Ave on Monday night.

According to the GPD criminal information summary, the driver, Flavio Aroldo Aguirre-Javier, 34, of Port Chester, NY, struck three vehicles and a tree.

Mr. Aguirre-Javier fled the scene, but he was located down the street and admitted to having been driving the pickup truck at the time of the crash.

“While speaking with the operator, officers detected the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from his breath,” police said.

Aguirre-Javier was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.

He was charged with Driving without Insurance, Evading Responsibility, DUI, Failure to Drive in Proper Lane and Driving without a License.

He was released after posting the required 10% of his $1,000 bond and was released.he has a date in Stamford Superior Court on March 28, 2022.
