Past Catches up with Intoxicated Man in Liberty Way Parking Lot

On Tuesday, May 17 at about 7:00pm multiple Greenwich Police units responded to the Liberty Way parking lot on a report of an intoxicated person urinating on a car and stumbling as he attempted to get in the car to drive. The caller further related the subject appeared intoxicated and provided a description of the car.

The man, later identified by Greenwich Police as Jeffrey W Sager, 40, of of 55 Flatrock Rd in Branford CT, was located within the car described by the caller, which was running with the keys in the ignition. The subject had an open beer container on his lap.

During the course of the investigation it was determined that Sager had two outstanding arrest warrants.

Sager was wanted for Violation of Probation for an incident stemming back to September 2013 on Grigg Street at 6:00am.

Sager was arrested and charged with Driving with a Suspended/Revoked License, DUI, Disorderly Conduct and Violation of Probation.

The bond for one count of probation violation was set at $50,000. Bond for the DUI charge was set at $1,000. Bond for the probation violation for the incident stemming back to 2013 was set at $35,000.

Sager was unable to post his court set bond and was placed into cell #3.

He has a court date of May 25 in Stamford Superior Court.
