Package Pirates Strike Again, This Time Dressed Like UPS Driver

On Dec 14, Greenwich Police received a report of a Larceny at 20 Horseneck Lane, which is an office building.

Around 11:45am on Thursday, the reporting party told police numerous packages were stolen from the building’s lobby.

“We have video of the post office delivering the packages. And later, a person who appeared to be in a UPS uniform came and took them,” said Lt Slusarz. “They contacted UPS and no one was assigned to that route; there were no pickups that day.”

The video of the lobby shows the person exiting the building with a stack of packages.

Lt Slusarz said the best ways to avoid package pirates in the holiday season is to have packages delivered to your office or to a neighbor who is home and can sign for them.
