No Insurance, Suspended License, Half Consumed Cold Beer Lead to Driver’s Arrest

On August 29 around 5:45pm Greenwich Police doing motor vehicle enforcement in the area of Lewis Street and Mason Street spotted a black 2012 BMW 528 traveling north on Milbank. A check of the COLLECT system (Connecticut On-Line Law Enforcement Communications Teleprocessing) indicated the car’s registered owner had suspended license status.

Police stopped the car, and after making contact with the driver, Chyquaan Adams, 32, of New Haven, they determined the he was the registered owner with the suspended license.

Police say the driver had an open can of beer under his legs on the floor that was later determined to be cold and half full.

It was also determined the car did not have any insurance.

He was charged with Illegal Operation of Motor Vehicle without Minimum Insurance, Driving Under Suspension and Drinking While Driving.

He has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Sept 12, 2022.
