Newest Greenwich Police Officer Was Previously with NYPD

On May 17, 2021, Greenwich Police Chief James Heavey welcomed the newest officer to the Police Department’s ranks.

Nolan Heintz was sworn in by First Selectman Fred Camillo at the Town of Greenwich Public Safety Complex.

Officer Heintz was born and raised in Lindenhurst, New York, and is the son of William and Maureen Heintz.

He graduated from Lindenhurst High School in 2013. He then attended Farmingdale State College, where he graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Psychology.

Prior to becoming a Greenwich Police Officer, Officer Heintz worked as Patrol Officer with the New York City Police Department. There, he was assigned to the 75th Precinct in Brooklyn and East New York. Officer Heintz’s grandfather, William Heintz, Sr., was also a Police Officer in the NYPD.

Officer Heintz’s dedication to providing public service for others will continue as a Greenwich Police Officer.
