On Sunday around 2:00am Greenwich Police stopped a car with heavy front end damage that was driving erratically in the area of Old Church Road and East Putnam Ave.
The vehicle didn’t come to a stop for police for about 100 yards.
The driver, Victor Manuel Martinez-Flores, 45, of Givens Ave in Stamford was unable to perform field sobriety tests to standard.
Further investigation revealed Martinez-Flores had struck a parking meter.
Mr. Martinez-Flores was charged with DUI, Evading Responsibility, Failure to Maintain Lane, Wrong Direction on One Way Street and Disregarding the Signal of an Officer.
He was being held on a $250 bond and has a date in Stamford Superior Court on Feb 11.
