Multiple Charges for Armstrong Court Teen, Following Motor Vehicle Stop

On Wednesday April 22 at about 7:00pm Greenwich Police observed a car traveling north on Columbus Ave as it failed to signal while turning left onto West Putnam Ave.

The vehicle was also observed to be traveling without its headlights during heavy rain.

Upon making contact with the occupants of the vehicle, officers detected the odor of marijuana emanating from within the vehicle.

The driver was issued an infraction ticket for No License, Failure to have Headlights and Failure to Signal. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

The front passenger was identified as Jonathan Pool, 19, of 29-31 Armstrong Court. The investigation revealed that Pool had been deceitful and made numerous lies to Greenwich Police during the investigation. Pool was found to be hiding marijuana and a controlled substance on his person.

Pool was charged with Interfering with an Officer, Possession of Marijuana and Possession of a controlled substance. He was assigned a court date of April 29, 2015 at Stamford Superior Court.
