UPDATE: By around 4:00pm, the emergency responders in Port Chester, were winding down. Several blocks of South Main Street were shut down including the intersection with Westchester Ave.

Original story Across the state line in Port Chester, NY, the Port Chester Fire Dept responded to a multi-alarm fire on South Main Street just after 10:00am on Monday, April 17.
The Fire Dept asked people to stay clear of the area.
Metro-North is Tweeting updates about rail delays on the New Haven line.
The village of Port Chester’s shared a message on Facebook around 11:00am:
“PCFD is battling a 2-alarm fire on S. Main Street.
This fire event is extremely dangerous and has required emergency personnel to shut down multiple streets in the vicinity while our fire department tries to get this fire under control.
AVOID THIS AREA OF THE VILLAGE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE AND MAKE ALTERNATE ROUTES OF TRAVEL.”
